Homemade Deep Fried Ice Cream - Easy To Prep

Ingredients:

Ingredients A

White bread, 3 slices
Ice cream (any flavor you like), 2 scoops
Baked almonds, 1 tablespoon

Ingredients B

Wheat flour, 1 cup
Corn flour, 2 tablespoons
Egg, 1
Sufficient water and salt

Directions:

1. Take a slice of bread and place the ice cream in the center, then clench it into a round shape.
2. Wrap the clenched bread with plastic wrap and store it frozen in the freezer.
3. To make the outer layer, mix all ingredients B well (make sure the mixture is not too thick or too liquid).
4. Dip bread into flour mixture, then deep fry in heated oil.  read tips below 
5. Cut and serve the fried ice cream immediately.
6. Garnish the dish with strawberries, cherries, mint leaves or a sprinkle of almonds according to taste.

Tips:

  • You can use a glass/cup to help you shape the clenched bread. 
  • The cooking oil must be hot enough and the frying done in a short time.
  • Favorite sauces such as vanilla sauce and chocolate are suitable to be served together.
  • Evaporated milk with added sugar and flavors such as strawberry, pandan or vanilla can be used to make an 'instant' sauce.
